In March 2007 Si-hing Allan Cook joined a team of
professional stuntmen and martial artists to recreate a nightclub
brawl in 'Clubbed', the big screen interpretation of Geoff Thompson's
best-selling autobiography 'Watch My Back'. The
team, including Lee Morrison of Urban Combatives and Dik Chance and
Louise Reeves of FAST Defence, were asked to make the scene as
realistic as possible, and filming took nearly three hours.
Allan also filmed a scene afterwards with Colin Salmon (known
to many as Charles Robinson in the recent James Bond movies).
On October 31st Allan was invited to a secret
preview screening of the
finished movie (finished that morning) to witness the final article.
Three hours of filming were condensed into no more than two seconds on
screen, so you might not immediately see Allan when you see the movie.
However, the scene afterwards, again severely edited, features a
snarling Allan squaring up for a fight.
